Job Description

We are seeking a Finance Associate to provide high quality finance support across our Sales division. Working closely with Local Account Managers, Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders, you will provide accurate and timely financial information and help the business achieve growth across all regions of the UK.

This role is offering a flexible hybrid working contract with 1–2 days per week based at our Ashford, Kent office for team collaboration and meetings. Candidates should therefore be within a commutable distance of the office.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide finance support to Local Account Managers and the wider Independent Finance team, acting as a key point of contact for the Sales Team across pricing, contracts, rebates and sales queries. You will also be responsible for monthly reporting, rebate reconciliations, customer reporting, month end processes and other margin-impacting activity.

You will have the opportunity to build and adapt reports, review customer performance, pricing and margins, raise rebate payments and authorise purchase orders, while developing your commercial acumen and supporting effective collaboration between Finance and the wider business.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication, teamwork and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work confidently with multiple sources of information. You will be proactive, organised and commercially aware, with the initiative to spot anomalies, ask questions and follow enquiries through to resolution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
