Job role: Finance Business Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 plus excellent benefits
Location: Buckinghamshire
Working pattern: Onsite once a week, 4 days from home
Hours: 35 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Manager to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and business insight across a respected membership-focused organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across an organisation with an annual income of approximately £20 million. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a small team of Finance Business Partners and play a key role in supporting senior leaders with financial insight, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the organisation.
- Manage, coach, and develop a small team of Finance Business Partners, ensuring the delivery.
- Take responsibility for forecasting and modelling income budgets of a similar scale, approximately £20m+, ensuring robust assumptions and clear financial insight.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Lead quarterly forecasting processes and support annual budget planning.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, acting as a trusted business partner.
- Provide challenge and support to budget holders and senior leaders.
- Manage and develop members of the finance team.
- Support the effective management of multiple income streams and associated financial reporting.

Key Requirements
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience managing, modelling, and forecasting income budgets of approximately £20m or a similar level of organisational complexity.
- Previous experience leading and developing a small finance team, with responsibility for prioritisation, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent financial income modelling and advanced Excel capability.
- The ability to turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders.
- Experience within a professional membership body, charity, awarding organisation, or other not-for-profit environment would be desirable.
- Experience working with income streams such as membership subscriptions, qualifications, events, publications, deferred income, or partial VAT environments would be beneficial.
