Greater Manchester | Hybrid, 2 days in the office

£50,000 - £60,000

Sowena Group are exclusively partnered with a high-growth, acquisitive, PE-backed business with an international presence as they continue to scale through both organic growth and acquisition.

They are looking to appoint a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a growing finance function and work closely with senior operational stakeholders across the organisation.

This is a highly visible role offering genuine exposure to senior leadership, with responsibility for financial planning, analysis, forecasting and performance reporting across a complex, multi-site environment. You'll be expected to challenge and influence stakeholders, translate financial data into meaningful commercial insight and help drive better business decisions.

With continued investment and growth across the wider group, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking for scope to develop, take on greater responsibility and progress internally as the business continues to grow.

About the Role

  • Lead monthly financial reporting and performance analysis across designated operational areas.
  • Analyse actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances, trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Produce and present financial reports, KPI dashboards and performance analysis for senior stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial insight to help operational teams understand performance and improve results.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting activity across designated business areas.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting and performance management.
  • Work closely with Finance and BI teams to improve reporting, automation and processes.
  • Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior operational stakeholders, providing both challenge and support.
  • Build strong relationships across the wider business and influence decision-making through clear financial analysis.
  • Support wider group budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting and financial processes.
  • Help improve financial understanding across operational teams through coaching and guidance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
