An exciting opportunity awaits you as Finance Business Partner (12 month FTC) in our Finance, Strategy & Transformation team. The Finance Business Partner is part of a team that enables all functions across Eurostar Group to manage financial performance, cash flow and capital expenditure to achieve budget targets and the longer-term strategic objectives of Eurostar Group. This is achieved by reporting accurate financial information, providing insight through data analysis and offering financial expertise to ExCo and their teams.

This 12 month fixed-term position can be based in either our London or Brussels office, with hybrid working (there is an expectation to be in the office 2 days per week).

The close date for this role is 14th October 2026.

Internal use only: Grade E, travel services 3-4.

Requirements

We're looking for someone to:

  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, accounting and business stakeholders to manage the transition and mobilisation of the new On Board Service offer (anticipated May 2027)
  • Assess accounting, reporting and control implications of the new service, working with the Accounting & Reporting Team embed these into BAU processes helping to coordinate finance readiness ahead of go-live. Identify and deliver opportunities to improve processes through automation, and responsible use of AI
  • Define reporting requirements, data sources, KPIs and performance measures with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support monthly close process, ensuring accurate cost reporting and commentary against budget and forecast
  • Lead quarterly performance reviews and drive delivery of the budgeting process for assigned business areas
  • Analyse performance, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare robust business cases for capital expenditure
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, provide tailored financial insights, and champion governance compliance
  • Foster a high-performance environment, balancing priorities with resilience and emotional intelligence

What You'll Bring

  • An internationally recognised professional accountancy qualification, part qualification, or university equivalent
  • Ability to navigate change and operate in an ever-changing environment
  • Advanced ability to think holistically about risks and opportunities and present persuasive recommendations
  • Strong influencing skills across Finance and non-Finance teams, including international stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across functions, build trust and deliver shared outcomes
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
  • Expertise in financial planning tools for budgets, forecasts, and reporting (Adaptive Planning is a plus)
  • Proficiency in French is desirable but not essential
  • Experience with AI and automation is desirable

We Zijn Op Zoek Naar Iemand Die

  • Samenwerkt met Inkoop, Juridische Zaken, Boekhouding en zakelijke belanghebbenden om de overgang naar en implementatie van het nieuwe On Board Service-aanbod (naar verwachting mei 2027) te begeleiden
  • De implicaties van de nieuwe dienst op het gebied van boekhouding, rapportage en controle beoordeelt, en in samenwerking met het Accounting & Reporting Team deze integreert in de dagelijkse bedrijfsprocessen, om zo de financiële voorbereiding vóór de livegang te coördineren. Kansen identificeert en realiseert om processen te verbeteren door middel van automatisering en verantwoord gebruik van AI
  • Samen met interne en externe belanghebbenden rapportagevereisten, gegevensbronnen, KPI's en prestatiemaatstaven definieert
  • Het maandelijkse afsluitingsproces ondersteunt en zorgt voor nauwkeurige kostenrapportage en toelichting ten opzichte van het budget en de prognoses
  • Geef leiding aan driemaandelijkse prestatiebeoordelingen en stimuleer de uitvoering van het budgetteringsproces voor toegewezen bedrijfsonderdelen
  • Analyseer prestaties, identificeer risico's en kansen, en stel gedegen businesscases op voor kapitaaluitgaven
  • Bouw sterke relaties op met belanghebbenden, bied financiële inzichten op maat en zet je in voor naleving van governance-voorschriften
  • Bevorder een hoogpresterende werkomgeving, waarbij je prioriteiten in evenwicht brengt met veerkracht en emotionele intelligentie
