A well-established professional services business is looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join its central finance team.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and fee-earning teams, this role will provide commercial financial insight across budgeting, forecasting, pricing, profitability, WIP, billing and cash conversion.
The position would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with the business, can challenge stakeholders constructively and is comfortable operating in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Business partner with senior stakeholders, department heads and fee earners
- Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance analysis
- Provide commercial insight around revenue, profitability, pricing and cash conversion
- Maintain and improve WIP, pipeline and invoicing schedules
- Support pricing and profitability analysis for new and existing work
- Challenge forecast assumptions and identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Support month-end billing and ensure reporting is accurate and timely
- Produce financial analysis for senior management and ad hoc business projects
- Help improve financial understanding across the business through clear communication and practical guidance
- Support process improvement and wider finance transformation initiatives
- Assist with year-end WIP calculations and audit requirements
- Contribute to the continued development of reporting and business intelligence tools

Candidate Profile

- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Minimum c.1 year PQE
- Previous Finance Business Partnering or commercially focused Management Accounting experience
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
- Able to turn financial information into clear commercial insight
- Comfortable working with WIP, billing, pricing and profitability
- Proactive, hands-on and improvement-focused
- Professional services or property experience would be advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, Qlik or systems implementation would be useful but is not essential
