Finance Business Partner
A major, global transportation business based in West London is currently seeking a new Finance Business Partner position to act as a key advisor to operational leaders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering: Support operational leaders with financial insight, variance analysis, and constructive challenge to guide strategic decision-making.
- Planning & Performance: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and routine financial reporting while highlighting key P&L drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Cost Efficiency & Control: Identify productivity and cost-reduction opportunities, manage operational expenditure, and oversee balance sheet reviews, accruals, and financial controls.
- Investment Appraisal: Develop and evaluate business cases for capital expenditure and operational improvement projects, tracking benefit delivery post-launch.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner across Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Transformation teams to standardize reporting and drive continuous process improvements.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Candidates who have become chartered in a big 4 professional services firm looking to make the transition to industry would be suitable, as well as candidates with proven experience in finance business partnering within an operational or commercial environment.

Candidates must possess strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and investment appraisal, alongside an analytical mindset that links operational KPIs directly to financial performance. An influential communicator, you have the confidence to challenge non-finance stakeholders, advanced Excel and financial systems skills, and a proactive drive to streamline processes and automate reporting.
