Finance Business Partner
Location: London (Hybrid) / based near Covent Garden
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We're recruiting for an ambitious and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic international organisation (based near Covent Garden) operating within the entertainment, events, media and digital content space.
This is a highly visible role where you'll partner closely with operational leaders, project teams and senior stakeholders, taking ownership of the financial performance of multiple business areas and projects. You'll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, commercial decision-making and driving process improvements across the finance function.

The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will act as the primary finance contact for your designated business areas, providing meaningful financial insight and helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
You will support the full financial lifecycle of projects and events, from planning and budgeting through to delivery, financial close and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Commercial Finance
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, budget holders and project teams
- Provide financial insight, analysis and recommendations to support business decisions
- Challenge assumptions constructively and help drive commercial performance
- Identify financial risks, opportunities and efficiencies
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
- Maintain accurate rolling forecasts and work-in-progress reporting
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary
- Support wider business planning and reforecasting activities
- Ensure financial plans remain aligned with operational delivery
Project & Event Finance
- Maintain financial oversight throughout the lifecycle of projects and events
- Partner with delivery and production teams to track committed and anticipated costs
- Lead post-project financial reconciliations and performance reviews
- Ensure costs are accurately captured, allocated and reported
- Drive timely project and event closure activities
Financial Control & Procurement
- Support procure-to-pay processes and financial governance
- Review purchasing requests and expenditure approvals
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and Finance teams to resolve invoice and coding issues
- Monitor commitments against approved budgets
- Strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
- Support the implementation of finance systems and technology enhancements
- Improve data quality, automation and operational efficiency
- Contribute to scalable finance processes that support future growth

About You
We're looking for a finance professional who combines strong technical ability with excellent stakeholder management skills.
You will ideally have:
- Experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, Management Accounting or Finance Business Partnering
- Previous experience supporting budgets, forecasts and financial performance management
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), or be actively studying towards one
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- The confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders positively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
Experience within events, entertainment, media, gaming, production or project-based environments would be advantageous but is not essential
Exposure to ERP systems, procurement platforms or reporting tools would be beneficial
