Equifind and Leading Financial Services Firm Partnership

Equifind are excited to have joined up with a leading financial services firm in London, who are looking for a finance business partner to join the business, to assist them during a rather busy time.

We’re looking for a proven finance business partner, who has a strong background in stakeholder engagement, enjoys adding commercial impact to businesses and likes a varied role.

You'll join a large finance team and get involved with as much as you can handle. This is a great opportunity for someone who relishes adding value to business operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the divisional heads to understand their business and become a trusted partner in future commercial decisions
  • Prepare and design monthly reporting packs providing insight into the figures and areas for business focus.
  • Develop strong relationships with numerous stakeholders both across the finance team and the wider business
  • Work closely with tax, FP&A and finance operations teams to ensure both accurate MI and statutory reporting
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the business operations and the wider industry
  • Produce timely & accurate management information, including detailed analysis and commentary
  • Accurately track and report on investment performance versus plan
  • Produce strategic KPIs which align interests of business towards the firms’ strategic goals
  • Maintain the ledgers with the finance team ensuring journals are raised in line with policies
  • Liaise with external auditors throughout the audit process being a contact point for queries
  • Take the lead in suggesting improvements in current management information and work closely with finance, IT, and other teams to deliver high-quality solutions to meet business needs and increase efficiencies
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts for a small number of entities, in accordance with GAAP including supporting schedules for trial balance
  • Actively contributing to strengthening of the finance function and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis.
  • Assist with various projects and ad hoc analysis

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5-10 years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience of working within the insurance sector is a MUST
  • Exposure to IFRS is beneficial
  • A strong analytical and business partnering mind
  • Strong stakeholder engagement is needed
  • Strong excel systems experience
  • Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner

About the Business

An international financial services firm that has had tremendous growth over the past ten years through global expansion and aggressive acquisitions. A real competitor in its market.

For this role, we are preferably looking for candidates happy to go into the great London offices three days per week.

Daily Rate/Salary

This finance business partner opportunity in London will pay a FTC of £100k-£120k for someone who is ticking all the boxes and comes from an insurance background.

This assignment will be for a minimum of nine months’ work and will start Mid-September. Ideally, you will be on no more than four weeks’ notice given the timelines.
