JSS are supporting a well-established business based in Aylesbury in the search for a Finance Business Partner to join its commercial finance team on a 9-month FTC. This is an excellent opportunity to join the organisation during a significant period of transformation, where you will play a key role in supporting financial performance, driving commercial insight, and influencing decision-making across the business. There is also potential for longer-term opportunities for the successful individual as the finance function continues to evolve.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the Commercial and HR functions, delivering meaningful analysis, robust financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic support. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will provide constructive challenge, identify risks and opportunities, and help shape key commercial decisions.
This role would suit a commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment, building strong stakeholder relationships, and influencing business performance through high-quality financial insight rather than purely traditional management accounting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
