Role Overview
An established, market-leading organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to support the commercial and financial performance of a portfolio of significant customer and operational relationships.
This position plays a key role in driving business performance through the delivery of insightful financial analysis, robust planning, and strategic decision support. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help shape decision making by identifying opportunities for growth, enhancing profitability, and mitigating risk.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Reporting & Insight
- Produce timely, meaningful, and actionable financial reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Analyse monthly performance trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Translate complex financial information into clear business-focused recommendations.
- Provide insight that supports performance improvement and commercial decision making.
Forecasting & Planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities for your area of responsibility.
- Ensure financial plans align with wider business objectives and operational requirements.
- Drive greater forecasting accuracy, financial discipline, and cost control.
- Support the development of robust financial assumptions and performance metrics.

Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted adviser to operational and commercial stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Key Account Managers to monitor performance, identify growth opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
- Influence and challenge constructively to drive performance improvement, commercial optimisation, and contract profitability.
- Build strong relationships across the business to support strategic decision making.
- Challenge assumptions and influence outcomes through robust financial analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall business performance.
Strategic Projects & Investment Appraisal
- Support strategic initiatives, commercial opportunities, and business improvement programmes.
- Develop and review business cases, investment proposals, and financial models.
- Evaluate financial risks, opportunities, and return on investment.
- Provide scenario analysis and recommendations to support key decision making.

About You
You will be a commercially focused finance professional with a proven ability to analyse complex information, build strong stakeholder relationships, and influence business performance.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience within a commercial finance or finance business partnering role.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Demonstrable ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on driving value and performance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach.
Desirable
- Experience operating within a large and complex organisation.
- Exposure to project-based, customer-focused, or contract-driven environments.
- Familiarity with financial planning systems, reporting tools, and data visualisation platforms.
- Experience supporting strategic change, transformation, or performance improvement initiatives.
