Why this job matters
As a Finance Business Partner, you will support financial planning, reporting, and business decision-making within a specialist environment. You will work across internal and external business partnering activities, helping to manage in-life forecasts and actuals, support monthly financial processes, and provide clear financial insight to stakeholders.
You will be part of a team working in a complex and secure business area, where collaboration and clarity are important to bringing financial information together across different stakeholders. This role suits someone who can work in a connected way, navigate detailed data, and help shape a coherent financial story in support of the wider team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage monthly reporting, forecasting, and actuals to support accurate financial control.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide clear financial insight and support decision-making.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, accessible updates for non-financial audiences.
- Support activities linked to contract accounting and month-end close processes.
- Work with relevant systems and financial inputs, including areas such as purchase orders, reconciliations, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with wider teams on tax and trading compliance matters where required.

Essential Skills and Experiences
- Accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Experience in contract accounting and/or working within a finance month-end close cycle.
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working with finance systems such as SAP or similar platforms.
Desirable
- Strong capability in working with financial data and turning it into meaningful business insight.
- Previous business partnering experience is preferred, but not essential if you can demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
