Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful, market-leading organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner into a commercially focused finance team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys influencing decision-making, challenging performance, and partnering with senior operational stakeholders.

You'll become a trusted advisor across Sales and Operations, helping to shape commercial strategy through insightful analysis, robust forecasting, and meaningful financial guidance.

You'll have genuine exposure to senior leadership, playing a key role in improving profitability, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across the Finance function.

The Role

Working closely with Finance, Sales, and Operational leaders, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the budgeting and rolling forecasting process, ensuring robust assumptions and high-quality financial planning.
  • Partnering with Sales and Operations to improve commercial performance, identify growth opportunities, and enhance profitability.
  • Delivering insightful financial analysis, challenging business performance, and providing clear recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Supporting pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial bids through detailed profitability analysis and financial modelling.
  • Producing executive-level reporting packs, board commentary, and performance insights, translating financial data into meaningful business actions.
  • Preparing investment appraisals, business cases, and scenario modelling to support strategic projects.
  • Driving variance analysis across revenue, margin, and operational performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously improving processes, reporting capability, and forecasting accuracy through automation and process optimisation.
  • Developing KPI reporting and dashboards to provide greater visibility of business performance.
  • Supporting month-end performance reporting, ensuring financial accuracy, and delivering meaningful commercial insight.

To be successful in this role, you'll be a commercially-minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing business decisions.

You'll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or be in the final stages).
  • Previous experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering.
  • Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, analytical approach with the ability to translate financial information into commercial recommendations.
