Spectrum Brands is a global consumer products company with a portfolio of trusted, market-leading brands, including Remington, Russell Hobbs, Black & Decker, George Foreman, and PowerXL. Operating across multiple categories and channels, we combine strong brand heritage with a focus on growth, innovation, and expanding our direct-to-consumer presence.
This is a high-impact, commercially focused finance business partnering role within the Home & Personal Care business, supporting the EMEA region. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you will have real scope to influence performance, strengthen decisions, and shape commercial outcomes.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, International, you will be the lead finance partner for your assigned EMEA business area. You will provide clear commercial insight, robust challenge, and forward-looking analysis to help stakeholders improve profitable growth, cash delivery, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- P&L performance: Lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for the assigned business area, ensuring a clear understanding of revenue, margin, operating costs, and key value drivers.
- Insight and action: Analyse variances, trends, risks, and opportunities, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical actions.
- Commercial partnering: Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to influence pricing, promotions, customer strategy, product mix, and trade investment.
- Profitability: Build a clear view of customer, channel, and product profitability, including cost-to-serve, to support disciplined choices about where and how to grow.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Support the wider Business Finance team in leading regional planning cycles, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring plans are based on robust, transparent assumptions.
- S&OP: Connect demand, supply, and financial performance so that operational decisions are commercially and financially sound.
- Investment appraisal: Evaluate customer plans and other investments, providing clear visibility of expected returns, risks, and strategic alignment.
- Influence and communication: Present performance to senior stakeholders, shape a clear narrative, and build financial capability across non-finance teams.
- Governance and cash: Maintain strong controls across rebates, trade terms, and working capital, balancing commercial pace with appropriate financial rigour.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
