We're looking for a commercially minded, qualified Finance Business Partner to support the financial performance and successful delivery of one of the UK's largest and most complex justice sector contracts. Supporting the Justice Partners Escort and Court Custody Service (JPECCS) contract across Scotland, you'll partner closely with operational leaders and the Contract Director to provide financial insight, constructive challenge and commercial support that enables better decision-making and improved performance.
Please note, to be successful, you will need to be successfully pass a CTC Clearance Check.
Role Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders, budget holders and finance teams to provide high-quality financial insight, challenge and support that drives informed decision-making and delivery of contract objectives.
- Lead accurate and timely month-end reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, ensuring contract financial performance is clearly understood and able to withstand management scrutiny.
- Own budgeting and forecasting activities, working closely with operational management to improve financial awareness, accountability and ownership across the contract.
- Manage key financial controls including risks and opportunities, accrued and deferred income, non-current debt and client billing, ensuring strong governance and accurate financial reporting.
- Provide commercial analysis and support to senior stakeholders, contribute to internal and external audits, and identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and increase efficiency.

What We're Looking For
- A qualified accountant, holding an ACA, CA, CIMA or ACCA qualification.
- Strong commercial finance and business partnering experience, with a track record of working alongside operational management to improve financial understanding and performance.
- Excellent financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting knowledge, with the ability to analyse and clearly present complex financial information.
- Strong knowledge of finance and operational processes and systems, with experience of SAP, TM1 and FDW.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A high level of integrity and a strong commitment to financial controls, governance and continuous process improvement.
- Flexibility to travel to operational sites across Scotland as required.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working within the Immigration & Justice (I&J) sector or a similar complex, contract-led environment.
- Experience operating within a large-scale outsourced or public services contract.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence and motivate operational stakeholders.
