About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Indigo's Finance team, based at our Group Head Office in Magor. The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in maintaining a strong financial control environment to manage risk, ensure the quality and integrity of financial data, and maximise efficiency and profitability across the business.
This is a high-profile, commercially focused role that requires close collaboration with Operations, Sales and Commercial teams to understand business activities, opportunities and challenges. The role provides financial insight, analysis and forecasting to support effective decision-making and drive commercial performance.

The position is based in Magor on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with Operations teams to track and report monthly project revenues and costs.
- Prepare month-end revenue and cost accruals and produce detailed gross margin analysis by customer and project.
- Review commercial terms within contracts and Statements of Work to ensure profitability and effective financial reporting.
- Monitor accrued revenue and track conversion to invoiced revenue, investigating and resolving aged accruals.
- Support the resolution of debtor collection issues and improve cash recovery.
- Analyse gross margin variances and work with Commercial and Operations teams to implement improvements.
- Track revenues, costs and business performance to support forecasting and commercial decision-making.
- Support bids, pricing activities and business case development for new opportunities.
- Drive revenue forecasting and financial planning processes, challenging assumptions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Attend departmental meetings to present and explain forecasts, monthly performance and financial variances.
- Attend customer meetings to agree commercial terms and invoicing schedules.
- Manage finance system settings, approval workflows and project structures.
- Support users with finance system queries and identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Assist with subsidiary reporting (including overheads and payroll cost analysis), balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts preparation, audits, tax returns and ad-hoc financial reporting as required.

About You
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
- Strong commercial awareness and business partnering skills.
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Sales and Commercial teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and present complex financial information clearly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial controls.
- Proactive approach with the ability to challenge assumptions and influence decision-making.
- Experience working with finance systems and identifying process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
