Finance Business Partner

3 Month Contract

Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: London (onsite 2/3 days a week)

We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and partner with senior leaders across Customer & Services.

This is a commercially focused finance role providing financial insight, challenge and decision support across performance, transformation, investment and planning.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, FP&A and Finance, helping improve financial visibility, strengthen forecasting and support commercially sound decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to provide commercial financial insight and challenge
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and rolling planning activity
  • Provide financial support for transformation and operational improvement initiatives
  • Develop and review business cases, financial models and scenario analysis
  • Support investment prioritisation, resource planning and cost-benefit analysis
  • Own and improve monthly performance reporting
  • Clearly explain financial performance, risks, opportunities and key cost drivers
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and commercial performance
  • Challenge spend requests and business cases constructively
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement across finance business partnering, reporting and planning processes

  • Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering / Commercial Finance experience
  • Experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally 5,000+ employees
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling experience
  • Proven experience partnering and influencing senior non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience within SaaS, software, digital, technology-enabled or service-led businesses would be advantageous
  • Experience supporting transformation, investment appraisal, benefit tracking, cost initiatives or operating model change
  • Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders
