About The Role

We're looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Wiltshire-based finance team. Reporting to the Wiltshire Finance Manager, you'll work closely with operational contract leadership across a range of key service areas, providing expert financial support, insight and challenge to help drive performance and informed decision-making.

As a trusted business partner, you'll play a key role in budget planning, forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring budget holders have the information and support they need to manage their finances effectively. You'll help develop financial awareness across operational teams while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen financial controls and enhance reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with non-financial stakeholders, influencing decision-making and adding value beyond traditional finance reporting.

You'll join a collaborative and supportive finance team committed to delivering a proactive, value-adding finance service. Working closely with operational leadership and senior managers, the team provides financial insight that supports efficient service delivery, continuous improvement and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Partnering with operational leadership teams to provide financial advice, support and challenge.
  • Leading the budget monitoring process, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial performance reporting.
  • Developing budget models and financial reports that provide meaningful insight to support decision-making.
  • Improving financial awareness across operational teams.
  • Supporting and delivering finance process improvement projects, including financial modelling and improvements to key finance processes.
  • Maintaining strong financial controls through reconciliations, general ledger management and transaction analysis.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to improve financial performance across contracts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
