Nigel Wright Group are proud to be partnering with a high-growth, market-leading retail organisation in their search for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner. This role is being recruited to support a substantial portfolio of strategic transformation and change programmes.

This is a highly visible role partnering directly with senior executives, programme directors and finance leadership, providing financial challenge, investment appraisal and strategic insight across a large-scale change agenda.

The Opportunity

  • Partner with senior leaders across multiple group functions
  • Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the group
  • Review, challenge and enhance business cases to ensure capital is allocated effectively
  • Support investment governance and benefit realisation across major strategic programmes
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis, reporting and decision support to executive stakeholders
  • Provide robust challenge around programme costs, risks, opportunities and return on investment
  • Influence key business decisions that directly impact future growth and profitability
  • Lead high-quality monthly reporting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Partner closely with Controllership and wider Finance teams to ensure strong financial governance
  • Support ongoing transformation initiatives within a complex and evolving business environment

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering experience within a larger business
  • Experience supporting change, transformation, technology, projects or investment portfolios
  • Excellent financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Comfortable challenging senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful commercial insight
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working with programme budgets, business cases and benefit tracking would be advantageous
