Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary 6 month contract with possibility of extension or permanency
Classification: Senior Officer Grade C (PN 1889)
Salary: $127,597 – $136,873 (Plus 12.5% Super)
Location: 2 Bowes Street, Phillip, ACT
Section: CFO Division

About the Role:
Use your financial expertise to influence decisions that matter in healthcare. Partner with clinical and operational leaders to turn data into insight and action. Bring curiosity, critical thinking and a customer-focused mindset to a complex health environment.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Build trusted relationships with clinical and operational leaders and develop a strong understanding of the services you support.
- Provide insightful, timely and customer-focused financial advice that supports effective decision-making.
- Apply critical thinking and curiosity to financial and operational information, looking beyond the numbers to understand underlying drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, practical insights and recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with leaders to identify opportunities to improve service performance, productivity, resource utilisation and financial sustainability.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, business cases, financial modelling, performance reporting and development of financial strategies.
- Constructively challenge assumptions and bring an evidence-based perspective to operational and investment decisions.
- Help build financial capability across the organisation by supporting leaders to better understand the financial implications of their decisions.

What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated understanding of health service operations and funding would be highly regarded.
- We also welcome candidates with strong business partnering capability from similarly complex service environments.
- Candidates who can demonstrate the ability to quickly develop health sector knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce.
- CA/CPA qualification or progress towards qualification would be highly regarded.
