Gleeson Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting a well-established international manufacturing organisation, who are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to provide financial leadership and support on a portfolio of strategic operational projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working at the heart of business change, partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing key investment decisions.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will act as the dedicated finance partner to a major operational programme, supporting the movement and optimisation of manufacturing activities across multiple sites.

You will provide robust financial planning, forecasting, and commercial analysis, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and that stakeholders have clear visibility of financial performance throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with project and operational teams to develop and maintain detailed project budgets and forecasts.
  • Build financial models to evaluate investment proposals, cost-saving opportunities, and strategic business decisions.
  • Track project expenditure, headcount, and capital investment against budget, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Produce regular reporting packs and provide clear commentary on financial performance and forecast movements.
  • Support business case development through ROI, payback, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Provide commercial challenge and financial insight to project managers and functional leaders.
  • Monitor project risks, develop mitigation plans, and support effective decision-making.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and commercially focused finance professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional Finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Project Finance, Commercial Finance, or Operational Finance role.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting skills.
  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or operational change programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders.
  • Understanding of cost accounting within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or aerospace environment.
