Marc Daniels is working with a well-established software business.
They're looking for an R&D Finance Business Partner to join their finance team.
This is a high-profile role. You'll look at how the business invests in its products, technology and AI, and what that investment delivers. It's an ideal next step for a finance business partner who wants real exposure to a technology business and a clear path to grow.
What you'll be doing
- Partnering R&D, Product and IT leadership on spend, forecasts and investment decisions
- Building and owning product-level P&Ls and unit economics
- Tracking R&D delivery and spend against the roadmap and investment cases
- Creating business cases for new R&D, AI and infrastructure investment, and reviewing outcomes afterwards
- Analysing hosting and infrastructure costs and maintaining cost models
- Building dashboards and reporting that give leadership clear, timely visibility of spend

What they're looking for
- 4+ years in FP&A or business partnering, ideally supporting technical or product teams
- Strong Excel and modelling skills, including P&L builds, cost allocation and scenario analysis
- Confident communicator who can challenge senior non-finance stakeholders
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified

Desirables
- SaaS or software industry experience

The office is easily commutable by road and rail, with two days a week on site.
