Operational Finance Business Partner
Liverpool City Centre
£45,000 - £55,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a high-performing finance team as an Operational Finance Business Partner. This role suits someone who cut their teeth in Management Accounts and has moved into a Finance Business Partner position. Thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment and is looking to develop their career with genuine progression and long-term growth prospects.
The Role
Reporting into a senior finance lead, you will act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, providing insight, challenge, and support to drive financial performance. You will be heavily involved in decision-making, forecasting, and performance analysis, helping shape commercial outcomes across the business.

Key responsibilities as Operational Finance Business Partner include:
- Acting as the lead finance contact for senior operational stakeholders
- Producing and interpreting management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
- Delivering clear financial insight, KPI analysis, and performance reporting
- Supporting rolling forecasts, long-range planning, and annual budgeting
- Building and maintaining financial models to aid decision-making
- Reviewing P&L performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and processes
The Candidate
We are keen to speak with ambitious accountants who enjoy business partnering and influencing non-finance stakeholders.
You will ideally have:
- Full qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Proven ability to business partner and communicate with senior stakeholders
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills (Power BI or similar desirable)
- A proactive, adaptable mindset suited to a changing, fast-moving environment
- Confidence working to deadlines with multiple priorities
