Finance Business Partner

Glasgow area

Excellent salary and benefits package including car allowance and bonus, hybrid working

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be retained by an international industrial group based in the Glasgow area on a confidential Finance Business Partner search for its UK production business.

This is a high-visibility role with real influence. You'll be one of the most senior people in the local organisation, owning financial control and business partnering and working directly with the Operations and Commercial Directors, who share accountability for the P&L.

You'll be the link between production (costs and planning) and the commercial side (purchasing, sourcing and sales). The business wants someone who understands what's driving the numbers and can explain it in a way that changes decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own monthly performance reporting against budget and forecast, breaking variances down into real causes such as yield, production loss, cost and volume
  • Lead budgeting (OPEX and CAPEX), forecasting, year-end landings and close
  • Deliver product cost planning, analysis and inventory accounting
  • Run period-end close to tight deadlines and prepare the business for the annual audit
  • Act as a trusted adviser to the directors and help build one joined-up operations and commercial team
  • Work in SAP S/4HANA and produce analysis and models that feed standardised European reporting in Power BI
  • Ensure finance processes follow group standards, and escalate risks and compliance issues
  • Lead and develop a small finance team
  • Support improvement and change as the business grows, with potential for further expansion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
