Finance Business Partner
Change Accountancy and Finance are working to support our client in hiring a Finance Business Partner to their team. The role will be an initial 18 month contract, with the business partner working across a range of corporate functions, developing and building budgets, reviewing actuals and the monthly reporting of these. As the business continues to grow and expand, a closer eye on cost drivers and understanding of these is key, with this role taking a lead in the development of this.
About the Role
Core duties of the role will include:
- Leading on monthly budget review to help assess both income and expenditure for your business area
- Reviewing actual figures and accounting for costs
- Posting of adjustment and actual journals to the general ledger
- Creating meaningful MI and holding conversations to ensure understanding and confidence around movements for commentary
- Working with a senior manager to review and discuss commentary and pulling out key metrics
- Shaping conversations and being the financial aid to non finance professionals
- Confident and strong with excel
- Fundamental understanding of balance sheet movements and cost drivers

Requirements
Applicants for the role must be qualified to be considered, due to the nature of the work and requirements. Applicants with previous budget review and monthly reporting are essential to build on an already strong base and engaging with individuals out of finance to discuss both income and cost drivers. Providing that financial education is key for the role, as well as the interpersonal and commercial skills to support their decision making, playing a key part in this.

Applicants will be able to show a commercial awareness, coupled with communication skills to ensure that their stakeholders feel supported in the decisions they are making. A strong grasp of Excel is key for presenting data, as well as navigating around key metrics and drivers.
An accounting qualification is needed for this role and the client is happy to consider; ICAS, ACCA or CIMA with the supporting experience.

Salary: £51,000 - salary review after probation
Hybrid Pattern: 2 days in office
