Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Industry: PE Backed FinTech

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Central London/Hybrid

Salary Guide: £80,000-£85,000 + benefits

REF: LJ54133

Our client is a fast-growing, SaaS business operating across the UK financial services ecosystem. Supporting a broad range of Blue Chip institutional clients, the organisation delivers mission-critical, cloud-based platforms that underpin high-volume transactions and long-term customer relationships. The organisation has the backing of a leading global private equity firm, providing the funding for both organic growth and targeted M&A. To manage increasing scale, complexity and revenue growth, the business is investing in its finance function to ensure it remains able to successfully support and partner with the wider organisation.

As part of this continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner into the FP&A team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, this is a business facing role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

The successful candidate will act as a key finance partner to the leadership and wider senior management teams, providing the analysis, insight and challenge required to support better commercial and strategic decision-making. This is an opportunity for an individual to understand the underlying drivers of performance and translate financial information into actionable recommendations, not just a role focused on producing reports.

Description

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and improving the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with business leaders to develop robust and credible plans.
  • Producing cash flow forecasts and providing insight into the working capital implications of commercial decisions.
  • Delivering accurate and timely management information, providing clear commentary on performance against budget and forecast.
  • Acting as a trusted finance partner to non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand the financial and commercial performance of their teams and projects.
  • Supporting commercial decision-making through financial modelling, business cases and scenario analysis.
  • Analysing pricing, costs and financial performance to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Tracking key performance indicators and developing scenario plans to help management understand potential outcomes and the levers available to influence performance.
  • Driving improvements to planning, reporting and finance processes, systems and data quality.
  • Providing analysis and support on ad hoc strategic projects, including board and investor-related requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills

In particular, you will be:

  • Commercially minded, with a genuine interest in understanding what drives business performance.
  • An effective communicator who can explain complex financial information clearly and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Highly analytical and data curious, with strong financial modelling skills.
  • Comfortable interpreting management information and data visualisation, with a good understanding of data quality and governance.
  • Proactive and hands-on, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Organised, adaptable and able to work independently while contributing positively to a broader finance team.
  • A high-integrity individual with strong attention to detail and a pragmatic, service-oriented approach.
