Location: Braintree, Essex, CM7 9HB

Salary: £36,684 to £45,498 per annum

Job Type: Full-time

Finance Business Partner (Revenue) - The Role

You will join our Financial Services Team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality financial expertise and support across the council. Day to day, you will provide financial analysis to support decision-making and council initiatives, prepare revenue budgets, manage account closures, monitor and control finances, produce forecasts, and contribute to financial planning. You will work closely with senior management and service delivery managers, adding value through challenge and professional financial advice.

Finance Business Partner (Revenue) - Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare revenue budgets and manage account closures
  • Provide financial monitoring, control, forecasting and planning support
  • Deliver financial analysis to inform decision-making and council initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and service delivery managers
  • Challenge and advise on financial matters with confidence and credibility

Finance Business Partner (Revenue) - You

  • Fully CCAB qualified, or part qualified, or AAT qualified with extensive relevant experience
  • Proven experience working in local government or public sector organisations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and confidence with senior managers
  • Excellent IT skills including experience with financial systems
  • Ability to manage deadlines, conflicting demands and changing priorities
