Alexander Daniels are working with a leading consumer-focused business to find a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support key operational and commercial functions.

This is a high-profile role where you will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing insight and challenge to drive commercial performance, improve profitability and support strategic decision-making. You'll have the opportunity to influence key business outcomes while partnering with teams at the heart of the customer journey.

The Role

As the Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, supporting decisions around pricing, margins, costs, investments and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partnering with internal teams to provide commercial and financial insight
  • Leading margin reviews and identifying trends, risks, opportunities and actions to improve performance
  • Supporting commercial decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis
  • Evaluating the financial impact of product changes, operational initiatives and customer-related costs
  • Challenging investment proposals through robust return, payback and sensitivity analysis
  • Driving improvements in forecasting, budgeting and reporting processes
  • Supporting the development of product and operational margin analysis
  • Leading annual budgets and periodic reforecasts across multiple cost centres
  • Working with Finance, Data and Operational teams to enhance reporting and automation
  • Managing and developing one direct report

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional who can build strong relationships, challenge effectively and communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Experience within Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or a similar role
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis skills
  • Experience working with large data sets and identifying key commercial drivers
  • The confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced Excel capability
  • Experience with Power BI, ERP systems or reporting automation tools would be advantageous
  • Experience within retail/consumer-facing businesses or a private equity-backed environment would be beneficial
