Your new company
A successful manufacturing organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its established finance team. Operating within a fast-paced and project-driven environment, the business is recognised for delivering complex programmes and is looking for a finance professional who can provide insight, challenge and support to key stakeholders across the organisation.
Your new role
As Finance Business Partner, you will provide financial support, analysis and reporting across a range of programmes and projects. The role will involve preparing financial results, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, monitoring programme performance and providing timely financial information to support decision-making. You will work closely with operational teams, helping to drive performance, improve reporting and ensure financial information remains accurate and meaningful. This position also takes ownership of financial reporting for several long-term programmes, making it particularly well suited to someone with experience of project accounting and an understanding of revenue recognition within multi-year contracts. Exposure to percentage-of-completion accounting or long-term contract environments would be highly advantageous. Alongside routine month-end activities, you will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support longer-term business planning activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
