About the Role

We are looking for a commercial and forward-thinking finance professional to own and elevate our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. In this role, you will act as a true business partner to our leadership and department heads, turning complex financial data into actionable insights. You will help shape commercial decisions, safeguard our cash flow, and leverage the latest AI tools to drive efficiency across the finance function.

About you

  • Experienced Business Partner: You have a proven track record in FP&A or commercial finance, with a knack for building strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders and holding them to account on their budgets.
  • Commercially Astute: You understand the real-world impact of financial metrics. You don't just report the numbers; you know how to leverage pricing, cost management, and working capital to drive business value.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You can translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences—from operational managers to board members.
  • Tech-Forward & Adaptable: You are highly proficient in financial modeling and actively seek out new technologies to improve workflows. You are excited about the potential of AI tools to eliminate manual work and elevate financial analysis.
  • Analytical & Proactive: You naturally look ahead. Whether you are building scenario plans or spotting KPI trends, you anticipate questions and provide solutions before problems arise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What will you be doing?

  • Budgets, Forecasts, & Financial Models: Own and continuously improve our budgeting and forecasting processes. You will collaborate closely with business owners to build realistic plans they can be held accountable to, ensuring leadership always has a credible, current view of where we will land.
  • Commercial Support & Business Partnering: Help teams understand their financial performance and build robust commercial cases for new deals and initiatives. Your guidance will ensure that decisions are made with a clear view of their financial consequences.
  • MI & Reporting: Deliver accurate, timely Management Information (MI) and explain performance against budgets and forecasts. You will adapt your reporting style for different audiences, providing the commentary that turns a standard data pack into a strategic decision-making tool.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital: Produce and maintain cash forecasts. You will proactively explain the cash and working capital implications of commercial decisions, ensuring cash is considered before actions are taken, rather than after.
  • Cost Management & Pricing: Analyze financial data to uncover efficiency and revenue opportunities. You will build and manage the pricing and cost models that support these initiatives, ensuring pricing is evidence-based and our cost base scales sensibly.
  • Scenario & Trend Analysis: Track trends in key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce scenario plans. You will provide leadership with a clear view of potential outcomes and the levers available to influence them.
  • Process Improvement & AI Integration: Lead initiatives to streamline planning, reporting systems, and workflows. You will actively use and embed the latest AI models (including Anthropic and Gemini) into your processes, ensuring the team's time is spent on driving insight rather than manual assembly.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis & Strategic Projects: Support management with critical analysis on board and investor requests, one-off commercial decisions, and other high-priority strategic projects as they arise.
