We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join us!
This is a key commercial finance role responsible for supporting the financial and operational performance of both the retail store estate and supply chain functions. Working closely with Retail, Property and Supply Chain leaders, the role provides financial insight, challenge and support to drive sales growth, improve operational efficiency, optimise costs and enhance profitability. The role acts as a trusted partner, translating financial data into meaningful business decisions and ensuring resources are deployed effectively to support strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
Retail Finance Business Partnering
- Support financial performance across the store network.
- Analyse sales, profitability and operating costs.
- Monitor key retail KPIs including labour productivity, commission and store contribution.
- Evaluate regional and store performance.
- Support investment decisions relating to store openings, closures, relocations and refurbishments.
- Challenge and influence operational leaders to achieve budget targets.

Supply Chain Finance Business Partnering
- Partner with Distribution Centre, Logistics and Supply Chain teams.
- Analyse warehouse, transport and fulfilment costs.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Support inventory optimisation and working capital management.
- Deliver financial analysis for supply chain projects and investments.
Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead annual budgets and regular forecasting cycles.
- Produce variance analysis and identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Support long-term strategic planning.
- Build financial models to aid operational decision-making.
Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Deliver weekly and monthly performance reporting.
- Provide meaningful commentary on financial and operational results.
- Develop dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations relating to accruals and prepayments.
Cost Control and Governance
- Support management of payroll, occupancy and logistics costs.
- Drive accountability for expenditure management.
- Identify and deliver efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures.
Requirements
We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong commercial finance and business partnering experience gained within a fast-paced environment. You'll have a proven ability to support and influence operational stakeholders, providing insight and challenge that drives better decision-making and improved business performance.
You will bring advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, alongside significant experience of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting. A naturally analytical thinker, you'll be comfortable working with large and complex datasets, translating numbers into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations.

Experience within a retail, supply chain, logistics or other multi-site operational environment would be highly advantageous.
