Finance Business Partner – London
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner / Commercial Finance Business Partner / Finance Manager to join our client, a global brand.
This is a commercially focused role for someone with strong experience in eCommerce P&L management, financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, working capital and margin analysis, ideally gained within retail, fashion, wholesale, DTC or consumer goods.
You will work closely with eCommerce, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain teams, providing financial insight, challenging commercial decisions and supporting profitable growth.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a key role in managing financial performance across eCommerce and operational functions, with particular emphasis on profitability, stock, costs and cash flow.
The role will include:
- Managing the eCommerce P&L, working closely with the digital leadership team.
- Analysing revenue, gross margins, discounting, returns, fulfilment costs and profitability.
- Producing weekly and monthly financial reports, including variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior-year performance.
- Building financial models to support pricing, promotions, clearance strategies and commercial decisions.
- Managing rolling cash flow forecasts, scenario modelling and working capital analysis.
- Working with Supply Chain and Merchandising on inventory reporting, stock reconciliations, ageing, provisions, stock turn and sell-through.
- Analysing the financial impact of stock clearance and allocation decisions.
- Monitoring operating expenditure and reviewing costs across logistics, fulfilment, marketing and overheads.
- Supporting annual budgets, reforecasts and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Supporting internal controls, audit processes, financial governance and tax-related reporting.
- Partnering with commercial and operational teams to identify opportunities to improve margins, profitability and cash flow.

What We Are Looking For
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Strong experience in financial modelling, forecasting and commercial financial analysis.
- Experience managing or supporting full P&L responsibility, ideally including eCommerce.
- Good understanding of cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Experience within retail, eCommerce, DTC, wholesale or consumer goods.
- Experience analysing sales, gross margins, discounting, returns and operating costs.
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience.
- Ability to work closely with commercial and operational teams and challenge financial assumptions.
- Experience with ERP systems, Power BI, inventory accounting, stock provisions or multi-channel trading would be particularly relevant.
- We are particularly interested in commercially minded finance professionals who can go beyond financial reporting to understand what drives the business, identify opportunities and influence decisions.

Location: London
Salary: Up to £85,000, depending on qualifications and experience
