Finance Business Partner
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Manager to join our client and play a key role in driving financial performance, reporting, planning, and business partnering activities.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a small team while working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, tax compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring finance delivers timely, accurate, and insightful information that supports strategic decision-making.

Key facts:
- Contract: Full time, permanent
- Salary range: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Location: Hybrid – home working with approximately 4 days per month in the Buckinghamshire office
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
- Partner with budget holders and department leaders to support effective financial planning and decision-making.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance.
- Support the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting cycles.
- Monitor income, expenditure, and cashflow, ensuring financial performance is tracked against plans.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support strategic and operational objectives.
- Assist with year-end processes, audit preparation, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure financial data is accurate, reliable, and compliant with internal controls and policies.
- Develop and maintain financial models, reporting tools, and dashboards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, systems, and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- Contribute to business cases, scenario planning, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

About You
Essential
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes.
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience preparing management accounts and delivering financial insights to senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- High levels of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Desirable
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience within the not-for-profit, membership, professional services, or regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of VAT and complex organisational structures.
- Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting processes.
- Familiarity with finance systems implementation or process improvement projects.
