Finance Business Partner

We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and provide dedicated support to our Operations functions.

This is a varied and influential role where you will work closely with operational stakeholders, providing the financial insight, analysis and challenge needed to support effective decision making and drive business performance. You will play an important part in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, optimise costs and support the continued growth of the business.

Alongside traditional finance business partnering, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on how we work. A key focus will be identifying ways to simplify, improve and automate existing finance processes, enabling the team to spend less time on manual activity and more time delivering meaningful insight and value to the business.

If you enjoy working with data, building strong relationships and turning financial information into practical commercial insight, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Key responsibilities

As Finance Business Partner, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, developing a clear understanding of business challenges, priorities and opportunities.
  • Provide financial insight, guidance and constructive challenge to support informed commercial and operational decision making.
  • Support business leaders in delivering against financial and operational performance targets.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Present financial results and insights in a clear and engaging way to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, planning and performance analysis activities.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify meaningful trends and opportunities for the business.
  • Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards, using tools such as Power BI and Tableau where appropriate.
  • Improve the accessibility and understanding of financial and operational information to encourage data-led decision-making.
  • Support the month end close process, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Work with the wider Finance team to maintain strong financial controls and governance.
  • Support SOX compliance requirements and assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes and reduce financial and operational risk.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to automate manual reporting, planning and analytical processes.
  • Use technology and data tools to improve efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities.
  • Champion continuous improvement and look for smarter, more effective ways of working.
  • Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
