Interim Finance Business Partner
Reading | 3 days in the office
£500 - £600 Per Day (Inside IR35) | 6 Months Initially
We need someone who can start ASAP.
We are working with a brilliant, fast-paced business in Reading to find an Interim Finance Business Partner.
There is loads going on, plenty of change and a real need for someone who can sit alongside the business, get underneath the numbers and help people make better commercial decisions.
This is a proper Finance Business Partnering role. You’ll be working closely with senior operational and commercial stakeholders, bringing insight, challenge and clarity to performance.

What will you be doing?
- Partnering senior operational and commercial stakeholders across the business
- Understanding performance and helping stakeholders get underneath the numbers
- Leading forecasting and supporting the wider budgeting and planning cycle
- Analysing revenue, margin, costs and overall business performance
- Identifying risks and opportunities and helping the business decide what to do about them
- Building scenario models around different opportunities, investments and decisions
- Supporting commercial business cases and investment decisions
- Improving management information, reporting and commercial analysis
- Understanding profitability across different areas of the business
- Challenging assumptions and bringing a strong Finance voice to decision-making
- Working closely with stakeholders to improve financial understanding and accountability
- Improving processes and finding better ways of doing things

What are we looking for?
A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong background in Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or FP&A.

You’ll need to be analytical, commercially curious and confident enough to challenge senior stakeholders.
We want someone who can take a set of numbers and explain what they actually mean for the business.
Someone who asks questions. Someone who spots things. Someone who enjoys working with people outside of Finance and can build strong relationships quickly.
You’ll need to be comfortable operating at pace, dealing with change and working in an environment where everything isn’t always perfect.
Experience within a high-growth, PE-backed, listed or similarly fast-paced business would be particularly interesting.
Most importantly, we need a strong Finance Business Partner who can influence, challenge and genuinely help the business make better decisions.
