An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified financial reporting professional to join an investment bank as the Finance Business Partner focusing on cost accounting

This role combines financial control, business partnering, cost optimisation and strategic analysis, providing significant exposure to senior stakeholders and business decision-making.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established international banking institution operating within a regulated environment. They offer a collaborative culture, strong stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to contribute to key finance initiatives that support business growth and performance.

Description

You will be responsible for leading and managing all cost accounting activities and reporting processes and have full ownership of the cost accounting and financial reporting, delivering insights to stakeholders. This would suit someone who is looking for a broad and varied role and includes:

  • Managing month-end financial close and reporting processes
  • Delivering budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Producing insightful management information and cost analysis
  • Managing complex cost allocations and recharges
  • Supporting statutory and regulatory reporting processes
  • Maintaining and enhancing financial controls and reporting frameworks
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and process improvements
  • Leading finance-related projects, system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Building strong relationships across finance, operations, HR and business teams
  • Supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insight and modelling

Profile

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Accountancy Qualification in ACA, CA, CIMA or ACCA
  • A strong background in accounting, ideally within Banking or Financial Services sector.
  • Solid financial reporting experience, ideally cost accounting
  • Stakeholder management with excellent communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
  • Able to interpret complex financial data and provide clear recommendations.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach to challenges.
  • Preference is for candidates who have completed training in Audit before moving into Industry
