Finance Business Partner

Location: London/Hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite

Contract Duration: 3 months

Day Rate: £500 - £600 per day inside IR35

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and partner with senior leaders across its Customer & Services functions.

This is a highly commercial role where you will provide financial insight, challenge, and decision support across areas including operational performance, investment planning, transformation initiatives, technology expenditure, and strategic decision-making.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping them understand financial performance, cost drivers, risks, opportunities, and investment trade-offs.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within large-scale organisations of 5,000+ employees. Previous experience within a SaaS, software, digital, or technology-led business would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior Customer & Services leaders, providing commercial financial insight, challenge, and practical recommendations.
  • Support investment and resource planning, including prioritisation, cost-benefit analysis, and financial evaluation of key initiatives.
  • Provide finance support across transformation programmes, including business cases, cost modelling, scenario analysis, benefit tracking, and financial governance.
  • Own and improve monthly performance reporting, clearly communicating financial performance, risks, opportunities, and key cost drivers.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and rolling planning activities, ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and return on investment.
  • Provide financial analysis across areas such as technology investment, infrastructure and cloud costs, supplier expenditure, development spend, and transformation programmes.
  • Review and challenge business cases and expenditure requests to ensure commercially sound decisions are made.
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insight for senior non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement across finance business partnering, reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Customer & Services, and wider transformation teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
