Finance Business Partner / FP&A Analyst

Location: Warrington

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits

Reporting to: Head of FP&A with regular working with CFO

We are partnering with an ambitious, privately owned business entering an exciting phase of growth. Led by an experienced and highly regarded senior leadership team, the organisation has established strong foundations and is now focused on scaling operations, driving commercial performance, and creating long-term value.

As the business continues to evolve, we are seeking a newly qualified Finance Business Partner / FP&A Analyst to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and delivering meaningful financial insight across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to move beyond traditional reporting and develop strong commercial, analytical, and business partnering capabilities within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

The Role

Working closely with senior finance and operational leaders, you will provide financial analysis, planning support, and commercial insight to help drive business performance.

You will act as a bridge between finance and the wider business, translating financial information into actionable recommendations that support growth initiatives and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Business partnering with the business development team, supporting with pricing and commercial packs.
  • Produce monthly management information and commercial performance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of board and leadership reporting packs.
  • Analyse revenue, margins, operating costs, and key business drivers.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic projects and investment decisions.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Help develop and improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and dashboard capabilities.
  • Contribute to business cases for new initiatives, projects, and growth opportunities.
  • Assist with ad hoc commercial and strategic analysis as required.

Key skills

  • Newly or nearly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel skills with confidence handling large data sets.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business partnering, or management accounting.
  • Experience using Power BI or other reporting and visualisation tools.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial modelling.
  • Experience within a growing SME, private equity-backed, or entrepreneurial environment.
