Finance Business Partner

North Manchester | Hybrid
£50,000–£60,000 + benefits

Forge Talent is partnering with a high-growth, multi-site organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner into its growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional management reporting and become a genuine partner to the operational side of the business. You'll work closely with senior operational leaders, providing financial insight, challenging performance and helping stakeholders understand the numbers behind their areas of responsibility. The role offers significant exposure across a multi-site environment, with genuine responsibility for performance, budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.

The Role

You'll take ownership of financial performance reporting across a defined area of the business, working closely with operational leaders to understand performance, identify trends and drive accountability against budget and forecast. The focus is on more than simply producing reports. You'll need to understand the story behind the numbers, challenge assumptions and translate financial information into clear actions for the wider business.

You'll also play an important role in improving reporting, financial awareness and the way operational teams use data to make better decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
