A leading organisation operating within the environmental and industrial services sector is seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join its high-performing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-driven business that plays a vital role in supporting sustainable operations and long-term infrastructure across the UK. Working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will partner closely with operational, commercial, and senior leadership teams, helping to drive performance, support growth, and influence key business decisions.

Your new role

As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight and analysis to support operational and commercial performance across your designated business area. Acting as a trusted adviser, you will provide challenge, support, and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring they have a clear understanding of financial performance against targets and the actions required to drive improvement.

  • You will produce monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, while analysing key performance indicators and business trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for enhanced performance.
  • The role will involve working closely with site and commercial teams to improve decision-making, support investment opportunities, and strengthen financial accountability across the business.
  • You will also play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting ongoing business improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified finance professional with strong management accounting and commercial analysis capabilities. You will possess the confidence and credibility to build effective relationships across both finance and non-finance teams, enabling you to influence decision-making and drive business performance.

  • You will have experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, alongside a strong understanding of financial reporting and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to translate complex financial information into meaningful business insight for a range of stakeholders.
  • You will be proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working within a fast-moving operational environment.

Applicants should be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or hold an equivalent professional qualification, and possess strong systems and Microsoft reporting knowledge. Experience of business partnering, investment appraisal, large complex organisations, or advanced reporting tools such as Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence is required.
