Finance Business Partner – Newly Qualified / Finalist Northampton | On-site
Are you a newly qualified or finalist finance professional looking to step into a genuinely commercial, business-facing role?
We’re working with a growing business in Northampton to recruit a Finance Business Partner who will work closely with operational and contract teams, providing financial insight, improving commercial processes and helping ensure contracts are priced and billed accurately.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys getting behind the numbers, working with stakeholders and using data to influence better commercial decisions.
The Role
You’ll partner closely with operational teams to develop robust pricing models, improve revenue and billing processes, and turn complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight.
You’ll also have the opportunity to use Power BI and automation to improve reporting and streamline processes, giving you plenty of scope to make a visible impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and contract teams to provide commercial and financial insight.
- Develop and maintain robust pricing models across client contracts.
- Build a consistent library of pricing tools and models.
- Analyse large operational datasets, including shift and contract data, to support decision-making.
- Improve revenue recognition, accrual and billing processes.
- Design workflows and controls to strengthen financial accuracy.
- Act as the link between operations and central finance.
- Support the rollout of new revenue accrual processes, ensuring strong controls and audit readiness.
- Work closely with key clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting and processes through Power BI and automation.

About You
- Newly qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand the story behind the numbers.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with operational stakeholders.
- Power BI and/or financial automation experience would be advantageous.
- Proactive, curious and keen to improve existing processes.
