Finance Business Partner, PE backed Infrastructure, Crewe, c£70k + bonus

We are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed infrastructure business to appoint a commercially minded Finance Business Partner.

This is a newly created role, reporting to the Finance Director, this is a high-profile role working closely with commercial and operational leaders to improve project performance, profitability, cash generation, and working capital.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate management reporting, meaningful variance analysis, and clear performance insight.
  • Lead budgeting and quarterly forecasting across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, challenging commercial assumptions and project forecasts.
  • Own divisional cash-flow forecasting and help improve billing, collections, and cash lock-up.
  • Support the financial integration of acquired businesses and embed consistent processes.
  • Use data and analytics to identify risks, opportunities, and actions.

We are looking for:

  • A qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an; Infrastructure, Transportation, Construction, Heavy contract-led environment.
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering or commercial finance experience.
  • Proven ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • The confidence to influence senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
  • A track record of improving financial performance, cash flow, or working capital.
