Ampa (one of the UK's leading professional services businesses) are looking for an exceptional Finance Business Partner to join their growing commercial finance division, specifically working closely with our IT/Technology teams.
Role Overview
Reporting to the FP&A and AGS Finance Manager, you will work alongside the IT Director and our Chief Operations Officer to provide insightful financial analysis of our technology cost base to support and drive commercial decision making.
You will be the trusted partner for our IT teams, which provide business services to the Ampa Group and will work closely with our other Finance Business Partner to build a collective understanding of our overhead cost base and enable support and cover in times of absence.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Deliver annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial results against budgets and forecasts. Running monthly finance meetings with the IT team leaders
- Identify key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop financial models to support business initiatives and investment decisions.
- Support integration of cost base arising from M&A activity into core central group processes
- Ad-hoc support where required to other areas of Finance
Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with IT heads, operational and commercial teams.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support decision-making.
- Act as a trusted advisor to department leaders.
- Influence business performance through data-driven recommendations and coaching to upskill knowledge and performance in relation to financial management.
- Respond in a timely manner to ad hoc analysis and information requests.
- Collaborating and liaising with the Group’s central Finance teams as and when required.

Performance Management
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Deliver regular performance reporting, including project trackers
- Investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support cost-control and profit-improvement initiatives.
Commercial Support
- Model and evaluate business cases and investment proposals, challenging costs to ensure a strong ROI.
- Support in contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
- Assess financial implications of strategic projects.
Governance & Control
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Support audit requirements and risk management activities.
Requirements
- To be a qualified accountant, or finalist, in one of the following qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- To have demonstrable experience with a commercial mind-set in a similar role
- High-level Excel skills, in particular being able to create appropriate financial models and communicate them effectively
- To be comfortable working across a number of IT platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, credibility and manage expectations with senior stakeholders
- To be a commercially aware self-starter, pro-active with the ability to work in a team and comfortable working at both a strategic and detailed operational level
- Confident in prioritising workload amongst senior stakeholders
- Flexibility and the ability to operate in a changing environment
