Finance Business Partner – Insights & Analytics

Salary – up to £80K plus benefits

Hybrid - West Midlands

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a major company as Finance Business Partner – Insights & Analytics, partnering closely with the Senior Leadership & Executive team.

In this newly created dynamic role, your remit will be to produce and explain high-quality business analysis and commercial insights that will enable the senior leadership team to make key decisions that will optimise business performance.

This isn’t just a big data role! We are looking for a candidate with a high level of business acumen who is passionate about understanding the numbers and telling the story in an impactful way to senior stakeholders. You will be key to the business capability to improve margin, enhance competitiveness and customer value by leveraging, analysing and collating information relating to pricing data, margin insight and external marketing understanding to challenge performance and drive commercial strategic decisions. This isn’t just about having your ‘finger on the pulse’- it’s driving the flow and pace of actionable data.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Identification of pricing opportunities through improved market & Industry insight
  • Commercial challenge and action planning
  • Highlighting potential risks and concern
  • Creating business dashboards & presentations
  • Ensuring rigour of data quality & governance
  • Tracking and driving the use of insight across the commercial teams so that trends, risks and opportunities are actioned

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • We seek a highly articulate candidate, someone educated to degree/ master’s level or equivalent.
  • You must have great communication and stakeholder management ability across finance, commercial and senior leadership teams.
  • Experience in Power BI, data analysis and data analysis tools with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insight.
  • Experience working with pricing, product, customer, sales and financial data with a strong understanding of margin, discounting, competitiveness and commercial performance.
  • Ability to interpret external market trends and industry movement.
  • An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
  • Able to work with business support teams (not directly manage them) to get the information and data you need to deliver your outcomes.
