The Role

Brackley, UK

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team, within a fast-paced and high-performance environment.

In this role, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight to support strategic decision-making and maximise on-track performance within the constraints of the FIA Financial Regulations.

This is a highly visible role that combines strong financial expertise with business partnering, influencing, and analytical skills, and will play a key part in the continued development of a world-class Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Influence and challenge leaders to optimise spend while ensuring compliance with statutory audits and FIA Financial Regulations.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, driving proactive actions and mitigation strategies.
  • Support investment appraisal activities, including capital expenditure proposals and business case development.
  • Develop, enhance, and automate reporting tools and dashboards to improve financial visibility and decision support.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead planning activities for relevant cost centres, including annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial forecasting, providing clear analysis of variances and performance drivers.
  • Partner with budget holders to ensure robust financial planning.
  • Provide input and support to the Financial Accounting team with month end accounting.

Financial Regulations

  • Partner with the Financial Regulations team to ensure full compliance with FIA Financial Regulations.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of expenditure against regulatory limits.

About You

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified, with demonstrable post-qualification experience; degree educated or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a Finance Business Partnering or commercially focused finance role.
  • Strong analytical capability with the confidence to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial audiences.
  • Proactive, adaptable, resilient and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and ownership.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Adaptive Planning and/or Power BI would be advantageous.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and developing best-in-class finance processes and reporting.
