Our Client
Our client is a leading professional membership organisation with a strong international reputation and a clear social purpose. The Finance & Commercial Directorate plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial sustainability, income generation and wider strategic objectives.
The Role
- Partner with senior leaders and Project Managers to provide clear, timely financial insight and support informed decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis across projects and departments.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reporting packs, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
- Support grant and contract application budgets, monitoring income and expenditure against funding requirements.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improved efficiency.
- Provide constructive financial challenge and support to budget holders, helping build financial capability across the organisation.
- Manage month-end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments, and support year-end and audit activities.
- Contribute to finance systems, process improvement and automation initiatives, including integration between finance and other systems.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

The Successful Candidate
- Part-qualified, studying towards, or qualified by experience in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent.
- Experience working in a finance business partnering environment, with strong budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting experience.
- Experience of project finance, grant funding and financial monitoring.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Pivot, alongside experience using modern finance systems.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial information.
- Confident communicator who can build relationships and explain financial information to non-finance colleagues.
- Experience within the not-for-profit, membership, professional body or similar sector would be advantageous.

- Salary: £40/41k
