Finance Business Partner

South Manchester
£60,000 - £70,000 + 10% Bonus + benefits

Forge Talent are working with a fast-growing, global business to recruit a Business Partner into their expanding finance team. This is a high-profile role reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control, with responsibility for leading the central costs function and a team of finance professionals. The business operates across a range of markets, delivering technology-led and sustainable solutions to customers globally. With continued growth and an ambitious strategic plan, they are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who can provide insight, challenge and support better decision-making across the organisation.

The Role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end Group Cost function, whilst acting as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Full ownership of the Group Cost function, including P&L and balance sheet production, performance analysis and business partnering.
  • Leading, developing and supporting a team of finance professionals.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across central functions.
  • Providing insightful analysis and constructive challenge around costs and business performance.
  • Building and maintaining robust financial models and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Leading the annual Group costs budgeting process and supporting the development of the 5-year strategic plan.
  • Challenging and improving existing finance processes, reporting and controls.
  • Driving continuous improvement, efficiencies and best practice across the finance function.
  • Supporting audits, corporate tax returns and statutory accounting queries.
  • Contributing to wider finance projects and strategic initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, confident working with senior stakeholders and able to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.

You'll ideally have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar finance/business partnering role.
  • Experience working within a fast-growing or changing business environment.
  • Proven experience of using finance to improve business performance.
  • Previous experience managing or developing a finance team.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills.
  • Experience producing high-quality reporting and analysis for senior leadership/Board-level audiences.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to challenge non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness combined with solid technical accounting knowledge.
  • A proactive, energetic approach with a genuine desire to make an impact.
