Location: Flexible, with travel to Swissport UK & Ireland sites as required
Working Setup: Hybrid
Contract Length: 18-24 month secondment
About the Role
As Finance Business Partner you will sit within our UK&I Operational Finance team, reporting into the Director of FP&A and providing financial support to our Lounges division. You will be expected to drive improvements in financial performance by delivering timely and accurate reporting, high quality forecasts and budgets, and challenging teams to find a better way. You will also support the wider Commercial Finance team when required.
Responsibilities
Who you'll deal with:
Internal: Lounges business line heads, Executive Leadership Team, Commercial Finance team, Group Finance
External: Customers, auditors and airport authorities
What you'll be doing:
- Act as business partner to the Lounges division, providing guidance on all financial issues
- Analyse contracts currently in place and make recommendations on current and future financial performance
- Develop quarterly forecasts and annual budgets in line with tight deadlines
- Complete trackers and review key cost areas and trends
- Provide commentary and analysis of performance to Group
- Produce financial analysis to support commercial, labour planning and investment decisions
- Advise business line heads and the Executive Leadership Team on performance and trends
- Support the wider Commercial Finance team with a variety of tasks as required

Qualifications
What you'll have:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience
- Ideally degree educated in a numerical or business-related subject
- Understanding of accounting standards and principles
- Experience in a large, multi-site business
- Experience of producing management accounts and communicating results to senior management
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements and identify the key story and actions
- A strong analytical approach
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Able to communicate effectively with different functions and all levels of the business
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and financial systems
- Ability to manage competing demands to tight deadlines
- A proactive self-starter
- Able to travel between Swissport sites with overnight stays as required
- Experience of a high margin, low volume contract environment is desirable but not essential
