Finance Business Partner

Burton on Trent | Up to £65,000 plus 10% bonus | Hybrid working

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner who wants more ownership, broader exposure and a genuine route to progress.

The business is growing, the finance team is expanding and this role has been created following an internal promotion.

You will partner with several important areas of the business, taking ownership of the key revenue, margin and cost lines across each one.

It is a proper business partnering role.

You will be close to the decisions, working directly with senior operational and commercial leaders, helping them understand performance, challenge assumptions and make better decisions around pricing, investment, spend and future plans.

There is plenty of variety in the role, covering budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, financial modelling and commercial decision support.

You will also manage one direct report, giving you the opportunity to build your leadership experience alongside the commercial side of the role.

Why it is worth looking at

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Real ownership

  • You will have clear responsibility for the performance of the areas you support, rather than simply producing reports for somebody else to interpret.
  • You will lead budgets and forecasts, explain what is driving performance and help stakeholders understand what needs to happen next.

Strong commercial exposure

  • The role works across several key parts of the business, giving you exposure to revenue, margin, cost, customer performance and operational decision making.
  • You will get involved in the conversations that shape performance, not just report on the outcome afterwards.

A growing business

  • The business is scaling and investing for the future, which means finance has an important role to play in supporting that growth.
  • There will be opportunities to get involved in wider projects, improve reporting and processes and help shape how the business operates as it continues to develop.

Genuine progression

  • This role exists because somebody within the team has progressed internally.
  • The finance team has a good track record of developing people and there is clear scope for the right person to take on more responsibility over time.
