Finance Manager

FTC (15 month)
£70k - £80k
Location: London (Hybrid)

I’m currently working with a high-profile, internationally recognised consumer business that is looking for a Finance Manager to join its commercial finance team on a 15-month maternity cover.

This is a genuinely broad commercial finance role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across marketing, subscriptions, sales and editorial/content, providing insight that directly influences investment, growth and performance.

The role

You’ll act as a key finance business partner across several high-profile areas of the business, taking ownership of budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and performance reporting.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the budget and forecasting cycles across multiple areas of responsibility.
  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders across marketing, sales, subscriptions and content.
  • Developing KPIs, reporting and scenario analysis to support a growing subscription proposition.
  • Providing commercial insight around pricing, margin and promotional activity.
  • Owning and managing a significant cost base, working with senior leaders to understand trends, challenge spend and identify efficiencies.
  • Building and challenging business cases and investment proposals, ensuring they are financially robust.
  • Providing proactive analysis to identify risks, opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Using data and technology to improve reporting, automation and finance processes, including exploring the use of AI.
  • Managing and developing a Finance Analyst, with additional oversight across wider finance support.
  • Supporting senior finance leadership with strategic and ad hoc analysis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
