The Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted commercial finance partner to OpCo Managing Directors and their senior leadership teams. The role is responsible for driving improved financial performance through meaningful insight, robust challenge, driver-based forecasting, and high-quality decision support.

Working closely with operational and finance stakeholders, you will translate financial and non-financial data into clear, actionable recommendations, supporting tactical and strategic decisions that improve revenue, margin, cost control, cash generation, and long-term value creation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as a valued and trusted business partner to OpCo Managing Directors and senior leadership teams, providing clear financial insight, commercial support, and constructive challenge.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance, identifying the key revenue, margin, cost, cash, and operational drivers behind results, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate financial and operational data into concise, actionable recommendations that support improved business performance and decision-making.
  • Lead the development of OpCo budgets and forecasts, ensuring plans are appropriately challenging, achievable, and aligned with Infrastructure Divisional objectives.
  • Develop and embed driver-based KPIs that enable proactive management of business performance and provide early visibility of risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development of business cases for capital investment, new business opportunities, and value-creating initiatives through robust financial modelling, scenario analysis, and challenge of assumptions.
  • Work in partnership with the Finance Shared Service team to ensure month-end and year-end reporting is delivered accurately and on time, with clear insight and commentary for operational stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across finance and non-finance teams, championing a more commercial, insight-led approach to performance management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
